(EMU) – St. Kitts, March 16, 2016: The Saddlers Primary School won the Inaugural Consumer Affairs Primary School Quiz in a final round of competition held on Tuesday 15th March. Representatives from the Saddlers Primary School, Jion Phillip and Destiny Harvey outshined their competitors in a five round contest to be adjudged the winners. Jion Phillip walking away with the Most Outstanding Student Award. This venture, was a part of the Ministry of International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs Consumer Affairs week of activities which ran from Monday 13th – Friday 18th March.
During the month of February, schools from around St. Kitts battled within elimination rounds to secure a spot in the finals. The Beach Allen Primary School, Dieppe Bay Primary School, Saddlers Primary School and the George Moody Stuart School all competed in the Final Round after successfully winning their respective zones.
First runners-up for the Quiz were the Beach Allen Primary School. The participants all received tokens of appreciation as well as participation trophies and supplies that can be used throughout the remainder of their academic years.
